In order to properly comprehend this post, you must first have an understanding of the word segregation. There are several forms of segregation, but for our purposes segregation will be defined as “the enforced separation of different racial groups in a country, community, or establishment.” This means that people are forced to be separate from each other based on the color of their skin, religious views, or other factors. For example, white people would go to different schools than black people OR Christian people would not be allowed to go to the same schools as Jewish people.
Many people believe that segregation in this country ended during the 1960’s with Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement. However, many argue that segregation stills exists today. That is: certain groups of people are still essentially separate based on their race, skin color, religious views, sexual preferences or another factor (living areas, grocery stores, etc.)

Segregation i feel still exists today. It might not be as bad as it used to be ,but it still exsists. If you look closely you can see the ratial things people do and say.Even in work areas you can see the seperation of differnt races.They say segregation stopped around the 60's, and it's still going in the 2,000's but getting better and better as the years progress.
in my oppinion segregation still exists. Not exactly how it use to be but still segregation. there are the rich people with all the nice stuff. then there are the poor people strugling to keep there house and eat. then there are bumbs who are homeless and strugle to eat. the rich people go around showing off all there stuff. the poor people ask for stuff from the rich and get nothing from some cause there so greedy. people segregate a lot by how wealthy you are.
Segregation does kind of still exist but its not forced apon people its just how people are naturally.
I think segregation is wrong. People should be treated equally. We are all the same even if we are different color. Some people think segregation is over, but is it really? I thought it was, but then i thought about the USA every sunday morning. Many people go to church sunday morning. Church is like one of the biggest racial dividers in america. About 95 percent of churches in this country are segregated by race and ethnicity.
I Think segregation does still exist maybe not often in our state or country but I do believe it still may exist somewhere else, because everyone have there own mind and opinions and may not never change what they believe in.
Well segregation still does go on today with the Mexicans. Why arent they allowed to come to America to find new jobs and live a better life? Aren't we the land of the free why dont the government of United State allow them to come over.Well i do understand the drug trafficing but they can still do the boder rades.The segregation in these pass few months has been insane in the news you hear that the boder cops kill 72 Mexicans for trying to come over. As well as that it goes on every day Mexicans work hard all day long they do the best work and get paid less thats not right for the whites or blacks who dont work at all get more money than them who actually work.Its sad that the Mexicans that come over here to work they work hard and send all the money they have to there family back in Mexico.''Oh''also the brizilans why arent they allowed to come over they didnt do anything wrong to the U.S.
I think that there is still segregation is still around to this day .the fact that is illegal doesn’t mean that people will not perform the act as hating a persons just because the have different view on any thing .It is sometimes that the person can’t really help. the way they feel. It is just an out look on life any kind of way .How can a person change there who they are and how can a persons change there skin color it is imposable. And why should a person have to do what the other persons wants even if they are doing nothing to the other person .Some people are just board and have problems and blame it on one or many races. I just think that it is all wrong .so please don’t be a racist!
I thing segragation still exsists because there are still some schools that are only male or only female schools
Hello and Good Morning Mr.Stagilano. It's Amber Tucker from last year Seniors.
1. Segregation is surely lingering everywhere. We even live in segregation from the tiniest situations such as living styles. Poor and the hungry to the rich and the famous. We live in a life where its a loop of segregation. In order to succeed we must prosper from life. Go upon what we desire in life to get where we want. Even though segregation is illegal it still happens upon many other states. There is still cruelty and people who live in areas that are originated by segregation yet still maybe runned in seperate ways.
Great example our school Camden County Technical School. Had seperated the High schoolers from the Special Needs program. From Freshman year i never heard a Special Needs student ever get called an high schooler. I myself took up 3 years of special needs and was catagorized as SN not Middle Schooler. Then until my i'd say sophmore year EVERYONE came together. There was no more Sectioned or catagorized students anymore,Am i right? WRONG! we may be meshed together now but they are still under the title specail needs because the program is still running haha So it's like a Mask you only see whats on the outside but what is it on the inside when you take it off!!! hmmmmmm i say !

We are that another factor which shows segregation is DEFINATELY never over. Just split down into society's ways to make the world go around . Don't you think lol It's funny when you think about it ! It's never over.
