Throughout my whole life I had witnessed many hardships and struggles happen with my family. But the person who has made me most of who I am today would be my mother. I have seen her go through just about everything and she still manages too keep her head up and stay strong through whatever. It’s amazing how she can stay so strong through hard times and still manage too keep that smile of hers on her face and continue on living her life like nothing is wrong. She is who makes me the person I am and always encourages me to do well all the time and no matter what too try my best at everything so that I could get far in life. I know the reason she pushes me too do good in school and everything is because she wants a better life for me and wants me to never have to go through as many struggles and hardships that she has been through. My mom is the most important person too me and she inspires me so much because of what a strong and determined women she is.

It was dark as I stared at the sky, stars filled it like city lights. It was a full moon. I was waiting for my mother to return home from work. Crickets were chirping and the wind blew through the trees making a rustling sound. I felt so alone, like there really wasn't anyone else like or even similar to me. That was eleven years ago, when things were simple.
I am a dominican female named Ramona Jimenez, I'm from North Camden but had to move because of all the terrible things going on. My mother was a hard working person and I've always looked up to her and she is my ultimate hero.
I never really got along with my older brother. He was always bullied me and we would fight almost everyday. I use to be depressed because of the feeling he gave me. I hated him but loved him because he was my brother. He would make me feel like I was never important in the family. Lately I could care less about what he thinks or says about me and I can now blow it off. Truely, I've grown up into a different person from the little girl I used to be.

It all started in 2000. Following my dream to become the best baseball player i can be. at age five tball started, my parents and coaches new i was something special. at age 8 i began playing for a travel baseball team.

I used to think it was a big deal going to atlantic city to play baseball. Then at age 10 i traveled to new york to play at cooperstown. As on of the best experiences in the life, i was scouted to play on a new jersey arsenal team. Playing with them for 5 years going from P.A, N.C, S.C, and F.L. When i started highschool i started varsity baseball, plaing center field and batting 5th.

Now i train everyday, and play for 2 teams. Im looking forward to playing baseball for ccts. To bring a new player to the school. Baseball is my hobbie and my favorite sport. In the future i would like to start some kind of career in baseball.

It all started when i was 3yrs old when i first saw my dad and my cousin kevin was playing basketball at this basketball league. The first time i ever touched a basketball when i was 2yrs old then my dad asked me did i wanna play basketball then i said yeah. So one day he took me to the league and he said do i wanna play for this league i said so my dad asked my cousin don can he play he said sure then thats how it started.

I been playing for my cousin league i have been playing for him for at least 12yrs i always got to play with him for free. so then like 1yr i played and i twisted my ankle and i was out for like 1yr or 2 for twisting it.

On june 14 i was born on ma sister Essence birthday. Personally i think that was the best gife she could ever get.But to her it was the worthess.Everyday on our birthday she remind me that i ruined her birthday. We can do many stuff together on our birthday like shopping, goin to the park, partys and we can even dress alike, get out nails and hair done.
I could understand how she feel because if my little sister was born on my birthday i will tell her to switch it to a difference day.Thats my day to get what i want and for the day to be all about me.Instead of your parent saying what do you want to do for your birthday, now its what do yall want t do for yall birthday. Some time we can have difference opitions on what to do for our birthday. since she is the olders they do what she want and they tell me next year they will do what i want.NOT.

This was I think 2 years ago my bother his friend John and I had a plan to have a fire in the woods. It about 12 when I went out the dollar store and wanted to buy something that would be funny to through at in a fire. Later on I get a text form john and he told l me he is on his way. So I go into the woods I felt as if something was going to go wrong. Well I was right….. After tossing a couple of stick and lighters in to the fire I was about to call it a day. Just then I saw my brothers face turn and he yells “put out the fire put out the fire “so I did waiting in anticipation he yells ”run”. I don’t even know where I am I just following the noises that I hear. I could I was the cops and they were closing in fast. I was at the end of the woods finally I told myself. I had a couple of cut but I was too frightened to know I was at the bake of a hospital after running for 30 min I got home and waited to hear about the news of the kids that got away.

On May 12, 1995 a star was born. I was born in Cooper University Hospital. I was my daddy's gift on his birthday. I was born to the wonderful Tasha Robertson and Washon Kyles. I was the first girl to be born out of all my siblings. I have a total of 7 siblings on either side of my parents. I am the second oldest out of them all. I am a great older sister and a great role model. I love to spend time with my family and hangout with my friends. I love to see everyone happy. I have the most greatest parents in the whole wide world, that supports me through everyting I do and gives me the influence I need.
Every since the age 9 I've always had my dream of becoming a lawyer. My parents always told me I can be anyhting I want to be, if I put my mind to it. At that age I wasn't sure of what kind of lawyer I was going to be but I did know that's what I wanted to be. And every time someone ask what I wanted to be in life that's what I said. Now that Im older my plans in life have changed. I still want to be in the law feild but I don't want to be a lawyer anymore. Im thinking about being a criminal phycologists.
I have big dreams in my life and I have the highest confidence that I will accomplish them somdeday very soon. My mother and father didnt make it to college. I want to be the first to go to college out of my siblings. I want to show them that there is more to life. My aunt is actually in college now attending Kean University. She inspire me to go to college and be something in life also. Everytime she comes home for break theres new things she tell me that makes me even more excited to go to college. In the future I see happiness, I have dreams, and I will achieve and succeed !

There was so many things that influenced me throughout my life but there was only one in particular that still bothers me. One summer ago I met this boy. His name was Alfred William Lee, he was 15 and he loved basketball. His whole life revolved around it , that and school. He had a good head on his shoulders. He meant the world to me and he was like my bestfrien. Always there for me when i needed him, I was always there for him. He made everything better with his words of wisdom and his advice in life.

But last year, May 19 he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. My world came falling down, the treatment was going good untill it came back stronger and in different spots. Later that day he died, i got a call telling me he was gone. I couldnt believe it nor did i want to. I cried for days, hours at a time. The funeral was the hardest thing i could ever imagine. Life without him is not the same and it never will be.

I miss him more and more each day. I do the things i do for him, i never played sports now i do and my number is 5 becasue that was his basketball number. I have a necklace number 5 with his name on it that i always wear so that his is always with me. Everything i do i do for him, every decision i make i keep him in mind.

Alfred William Lee is always in my heart and has influenced me greatly.
