Et tu - Students?

Time has come for Spring Break 2011, and we would like you to take this time to self-reflect on the past year, specifically in English class. We want you to take a moment and think about some of the things you have learned and how they can affect your life. Remember, we don’t teach you all of the things we do for no reason!

With all of these things in mind, we would like you to think about your upcoming spring break and brainstorm some ideas in which you could incorporate some of the things from English class into your break. Perhaps you could read a bit each day; perhaps you could notice ethos, pathos, and logos in your life.

Your Task Today:
Compose a 3 paragraph entry (minimum 5 sentences each) in which you discuss possible ways you can incorporate the skills learned in English class into your break.

This year english we disscued ethos, pathos and logos which is the way media or even people can manipulate people. Ethos is thru trust, Pathos is thru emotion, and logos is thru logic. Wwe alos learned how to cite thru text. We read PCR books. We also cited thru regular text.
There was a project were we had to use videos and slides to make either a voiced over movie or slide show movie.

Right now we are readin julius caser and disccusing ethos pathos and logos again . along with plots and sybolism.

this year in english class with mr. stagliano, and mrs ferri, has been really great and outstanding. we have learned many things here. the year is coming to an end, and during the summer break, students forget about half of what they learned. beig here has pumped our brains back into action. we have learned everything this year, starting with the most basic things.
one of the most important things, and most basic things we learned, was hhow to construct a sentence. a simple plain sentence may seem easy, but you cant just put three words and call it a sentence. there is much more to it, and we have learned that. for example, each sentence must make a statement. also they must contain a noun.
seems really basic, but many of us actually developed better writing skills. we all enhanced our vocabulary this year. this will help me throughout spring break, because i will need better skills, for when i sign job applications this class helps us learn about the world of reading and writing more better. those are to essential kills needed in life, and we learn them here with mr. staliano, and mrs. ferri, in a fun and advanced way.
