Cassius uses ethos best. I say thi because every statment he made to brutus was about brutus. His words were kind and ment to have brutus start to trust him. For example when he says you can trust me untill i do something to betray your trust. He also comments on brutus character with comments like , "Caeser is not a better name, to me Brutus is just as great a name."
In act 1 scene 2 Cassius trys to persuade brutus into turing on caser so he can use him as a pawn to over thro ceaser. Caeser also heres from a sooth sayer who trys to warn him that he needs to be aware about march 15 cause hes in danger but caeser disrecards him and labels him a 'dreamer' even though with out his knowledge cassius is planing betrayl behind his back.
pathos because Cassius is using brutus's emotions, to get the best of him.
In act 1 scene 2 the soothsayer appraches caesar to tell him to "beware the ides of march." after the cassius is trying to convince brutus to kill caesar. Cassius is also going to sneak notes to brutus, to make him think the common people want him to take action against caesar.
In act I scene II Cassius uses Ethos and pathos to persuade Brutus to be on his side.He tells brutus that Caesar shouldn't have all the power. He believes that Caesar is just like them and no better so why can't he have the power?Cassius tells Brutus that he should trust him because they are good friends and he would always have Brutus back.He also said that he can see the type of person he is inside and how great he is.Cassuis is trying to turn Brutus on caesar and kill him so Cassuis can have the power.
I think cassius uses ethos the most out of ethos, pathos, and logos. one example of:
ETHOS- Ill tell you, good brutus.and since you know you can see yourself best by reflection. Ill be your mirror and show you, without exaggeration, things inside you that you cant see.
PATHOS- Brutus, i misunderstood your feelings, and therefore kept to myself certain thoughts i might have shared. tell me,good brutus, can you see your face.
logos- No, cassius. The eye cant see inself, except by reflection inn other surfaces.
Cassius uses Pathos and Ethos in this act. This is because Cassius tries to abuse his trust with Brutus to be against Caesar. He uses his feelings to make him dislike Caesar because he had "too much power". Cassius tells Brutus that he can trust him because of their friendship. Then he tells his how Caesar shouldn't be trusted because he's trying to abuse his friendship.
This act is basically about Cassius trying to convince Brutus. He's trying to convince him into going against Caesar. He uses their long friendship to twist the trust. He uses examples of emotion and trust. He also used some logic in there to try to persuade Brutus.
Cassius uses Pathos and Ethos when he says "Why, Caesar straddles the narrow world like a giant, and we petty men walk under his huge legs and look forward only to dying dishonorably, as slaves." He uses Pathos in this because he is using emotions to try to get Brutus to cross over Caesar and back stab his. Cassius is trying to do this because he is jealous of Caesar, jealous that Caesar is in control. He uses Ethos because he says the men and me, he is trying to act like a community, he wants Brutus to trust him and listen to him.
Act 1, Scene II, Julius Caesar is mainly about friendship and backstabbing. Cassius was Caesas friend and he is trying to get Brutus to backstab him so he can do Caesar dirty work so he wont have to get his own hands dirty. Cassius is trying to get Brutus to turn and convince Brutus to kill him/going against or over power him so Cassius can be in control. Brutus is also friends with Ceasar but does not want to turn on him. But in all reality Cassius is a bad friend because of the stuff he is saying and why he is doing it.
In Julius Ceasar Cassius explains to Brutis about the relationship he had with Ceasar. Cassius said he is like a brother to him and he also said Ceasar is like a reflection of him in the mirror.
Julius Caesar us E
"Don't take it badly. if i seem guarded, it's only because i'm uneasy with myself.
The story Julius Caesar is how about a man that takes over Romans
I think cassius used ethos more then pathos and logos because all through the story cassius trys to get brutus to trust him. Because he want brutus to get rid of caesar.
Also he says things to brutus to try to make him trust him, he says things like "since you know you can see yourself best by reflection, ill be your mirror and show you".
In scene 1 act 2 he Cassius uses pathos which mean emotions."i'd rather not live at all than live to worship a man as oridanry as myself".he shows emotions because hes talking about not living at all and worshiping outher men this show emotions.
Cassius uses pathos cause their is a lot of emotion involved in diz dilema. cassius uses brutus so he can go against caesar. and when cassius talks to brutus. Brutus basicly falls for it.
I think that in this speach pathos was used the most. An example of pathos is when brutus is trying to convince cassius to not like ceasar. He is trying to convince cassius that ceaser has to much power. He wants cassius to feel hatred towards ceasar.
i think it uses pathos because of all the emotional feelings that cassius applies into the conversation with brutus. he is describing how he doesnt think he should have to bow to someone, that he once saved in the tiber river. caeser needed his help, or he would have died, and now caeser is demanding respect for people to bow, when they look his way
I have been reading this play by William Shakespeare. The name is name of the play is Julius Caesar. Is complex and adds to the individuality of a person’s control of their self image and the struggle. The play includes one Julius Caesar and one if his alleged companions Cassius. The conflict is aroused when the Julius begins to clam more power but this isn’t his decision but the people believe he is the promised ruler of Rome. The story mainly contains pathos .
The Rhetorical Appeal he best used was a combination of pathos and logos. One very exellent example of pathos is when Brutus says, " If i seem guarded, it's only because I'm uneasy with myself ". I choose this because it used to words gaurded and uneasy which are emotions people can feel about there self. A good example of logos is when Brutus says, " What dangers are you trying to lead me into, Cassius, that you want me to look inside myself for something that's not there? ". I choose this because he is thinking how is this possible. He is trying to process itin his head.
SUMMARY: In act one scene two Brutus and Cassius are carring on a very important conversation. These two men are supposedly Caesar's bestfriends. They are upset becuase Caesar was born an ordinary man just lie them but yet they have to bow at his feet. It seems as though Cassius is trying to convince Brutus to kill Caesar. They don't believe its right to have anormal man considered a god. In one part Cassius explains how HE had to save caesar from the terrible Tiber river.
i think this hole story is about ethos}
i think this story is about brutes saying,I'll be your mirror and show you exaggeration, thing inside you cat see, and dont be suspicious of them, Because if i was and averge fool or if i made fellings for you worthless by making the same promise of their friendships to everone, or if they seemed that the frist flatterning men, hugging them tightly, and then later they slandering them behiend there backs, or if they hear that they drunkently declare there friend ship, rappled
In Julius Caesar Act 1 scence 11.Julus dont know that Cassius try to convices Bruthtus to betraying Julius. Some unknow guy come and warming Julius about March 15. I think he use Ethos alot when he talked. Cassius want Bruthtus to trust him because if he trust Cassius dont have to get his name dirty. For example he state" he stay trust me,I'd do if it meant my death. Let the gods give me good luck only as long as i love honor than i fear death and good friend, mirror.
The main common appeal that is being used in this story is "Ethos'. The reason I said Ethos is because in the story Cassius is basically trying to manipulate Brutus mind and make him trust him. He's keep trying to make Brutus feel how he feels about Julius Caesar. In the story he uses Ethos pretty much alot. He refers to the community by saying " I don't know what you and other men think of his life, but as for me, I'd rather not live at all than live to worship a man as ordinary as myself". What he's saying is that Caesar is no different from him and the rest of the men. They are all the same and habe the same abilities. He also uses Ethos when he Brutus says " I'll be your mirror and show you, without exaggeration, things inside you that can't see. Cassius telling Brutus that he can be his mirror and guid him, so he can trust him.
This story is basically about Julius Caesar basically becoming king over Rome. He has won over Pompei. So now all the people in the government that's under him are becoming jealous him. But the regular people that live in Rome are worshiping and looking up to him now. Cassius is one of the politicians in the Senate and he is becoming jealous of Caesar. Cassius wants to get rid of Caesar. Cassius believes that Caesar is no better than any other men in Rome. Cassius and Brutus are very good friends. Brutus doesnt exactly know what Cassius is up to now. But Cassius is trying to manipulate Brutus mind and persuay him to trust him. He wants Brutus to do the job for him which is getting rid of Caesar.
